Week 3 - 2D meshing for Sheet metal

OBJECTIVE

To carry out mid surface generation for the given hood model after checking all the geometrical errors and mesh the mid surface with the given element quality criteria.

PROCEDURE

1-Open the file which has been downloaded in ANSA.

2-Set up the length criteria of the object for both perimeters and macros which is 5 mm .

3-Carry out geometry check for the given object and resolve all the error and discontinuities by up using different tools of TOPO

4-Made a mid-surface with directly using mid-surface tool with skin due to quick procedure and presence lots of endless surfaces.

5-Eliminate the unwanted line and clean up the mid surface for smooth and good mesh development.

6-Set the Quality Criteria before meshing.

7-Went to mesh option, tried best mesh to different face of total half portion of the object since object is symmetric from half line excluding some portion 

8-With the help of different tools at MESH, able to draw a final mesh flow at the surface with considering all the criteria

9-Excuted the thickness over total generated mid-surface
