Week 4 -Wire Bending Challenge

Aim :

To do a wire bending simulation and slove three indiviual materials for the same load case.

Software used :

Ansys work bench 2021 R2

Procedure :

Download the model from the skill lync portal and understand the model working.

Rename the model as per the convinices to assign the materials property

Main asspect of the simulation is to bending the wire and compare all three materials used in the analysis then give the results.

The boundry conditions are given as - The wheel center hole is fixed and the center hole of the lever is given joint loads fo the wire the top end of the wire is fixed so it will not move from the area of the bending .

The load condtions are given as 12 substeps to make it easy to run .

Type of method used is argumented lengrange .

First condtion we use copper alloy non liner .

Results requried for wire alone max stress and strain .

After we run it for copper alloy we use paramteric study to slove for reaminaing two materials and take the results .

Thus the given model is simulated and the results are given .
