Week 4- Challenge

Objective:

        To generate mesh on a given element, deploying a 1D element, defining cross-section to 1D elements, and assigning the property to the 1D elements.

Procedure:

• Delete the solids.
• Extract the mid-surfaces separately for two brackets.
• Create material and property.
• Assign thickness and material.
• Assign material and property to the brackets.
• Create Split Washer.

• Meshed the surfaces.
• Created RBE2 and RBE3 links for respective rod, beam, and bar.
• Masses of magnitude assigned to "d & e".
• "f" is connected using spring.
• Hyperbeam view is created assigning cross-section for rod, beam and bar with given dimensions.

• Create a rod, beam, and bar.
• Assign property for rod, beam, and bar.
• Enable 1D elements to 1D detailed element representation.
