Week 4- Challenge

Objective:

To create the 1D models like Rod,Beam,Bar.

Procedure :

1.First,import the cad the parallel bracket model by keeping the type as IGES.

2.Click on Geo-midsurface-Extract-offset+plane.

3.Select the all surfaces and then click on Extract option.

4.After extracting ,Create a components as bracket 1.

5.Go to Tool-Organize-Select the upper part and give destination file as Bracket 1.

6.Rename Midsurface as Bracket 2 and repeat the 5 th step.

7.Then go to Quick edit,Click on Washer split and give offset value as 5.

8.Click on the circles where you want to create the washer split.

9.Click on 2D-automesh,Select all the surface and mesh the surface ,adjust the nodes.

10.Create Rbe2 element in A,unclick the DOF4,DOF5,DOF6 WHICH ARE ROTATIONAL DOF.

11.Create Rbe3 element in B and select ,and select the all DOFs.

12.Create Rbe3 element in C and select only DOF1,2.

13.For D and E Create Rbe3 element and mass at centre node 10.

14 Then,Go to HYPERBEAM-standard-hyperbeam- Rod,beam,Bar using the given Dimension.

15.Then,create ROD at A,Bar at B,C ,this option will available in in 1D element.

16.Create property for bar,beam,and rod.

17.In property give PROD for rod,PBEAM for beam,PBAR for BAR.

18.Create ROD,BEAM,BAR component in entities.

19.Then assign their properties and their Beam section.

20.Finally Click on the 1D traditional elements to see the bar,rod,beam elements.

Result:The 1D elements are created based on given Dimensions
