1. Implementing control logic of a washing machine using stateflow as per given sequence

Washing machine is used to wash various different types of cloths at different modes like soaking, washing, rinsing and drying. some machines even have temperature settings and some have presoaking setting.

When the power is ON the machine got activated. Then it will ask for how much water level is required to wash, how many minutes have to wash, how many times it has to rinse and how many minutes it has to dry.

According to the question soaking time is 200 secs, washing time is 100secs, rinsing time is 20secs, and dryer time is 50secs.

according to this sequence a simulink model and state flow is created. The elements used in this model are chart to create state flow, lamps to indicate as LED, constant block, slider switch to ON and OFF.

Slider switches are connected to contant blocks and lamps are connected to display blocks.

The below is the state flow of the washing machine

when power is on the machine got activated

when soaking

when washing

when rinsing

when drying

after finishing

The above are the outputs of the machine according to the sequence.

2.Simulink chart for the GEAR shift logic according to the speed range.

The gear system is the shift lever of a manual transmission.

In this model slider scale, consatant block, chart to create stateflow logic, lamps to indicate speed range are used.

The below is the shift logic of gear system

Intially the speed is at zero at that time gear 1 is ON

later when it is in gear 2 speed is 15-25kmph.

when it is gear 3 the speed is 25-40kmph

when it is gear 4 the speed is 40-60kmph

when it is gear 5 the speed is above 60kmph
