ans-1 as we can see in attachment there is a model of washing machine showing different states.

  • create a chart block
  • inside this we have a circular junction and return a null value.
  • if power off i.e 0 then process is terminated else 1 is carried forward
  • if water is off i.e 0 then process is terminated pr else 1 is carried
  • after 200 sec soak block is activated and soaking action takes place
  • after 300sec of soaking washing block is activated and washing action takes plaace
  • after 320 sec of washing rinsing action takes place
  • after 370 sec of washing rinsing action takes place
  • after 370 sec of rinsing dryer block gets activated and drying action takes place.
  • after then signal flow and exits from the chart
  • power and water supply are two inputs connected with constant block respectively
  • lamps are connected with each output red light shows process is not in progress and green light shows process is in progress
  1. in the above controla logic there is one junction point with two conditions for power supply, one is when power supply is available(x>0)and second without power supply (x==0). If the power supply is on or 1 at entry level then machine will get activated and will start the process.
  2. after this power supply is connected providing two states for power ON (PS=1) and for power OFF (PS=0)
  3. Next water supply is connected with two states water ON (WS=1) , y>0 and water OFF (WS=0) ,(y==0)
  4. Next four operation states are created for 4 different operations soaking, washing ,rinsing, drying with time duration 200 sec for soak , 100 sec for wash, 20 sec for rinse,50 sec for dry. Entry and exit conditions are stated as 1 because of continuous operation of machine.
  5. After finishing all sets of operation power supply is changed to PS=0 which reaches machine to shut off.

Now we have two switches for x and y i.e power and water supply. Seperate lamp and dispalys are given for each output port green colorof the lamp shows ON i.e 1 and red color shows OFF i.e 0

when power and water supply are 1

when power is ON aand water supply is OFF

when power and water supply are ON and run time is 200 sec (soak state)

when supply is same and run time is 300sec (wash state)

when supply is same and run time is 320 sec (rinse state)

when supply is same and run time is 370 sec (dryer state)

ans2

  • creat a chart block for defining the below conditions
  • when speed is less than or equal to 0 the flow is terminated and gear 0 is activated at the junction or else 1 is carried
  • when speed is greater than 0 and less than 15 ,flow is terminated and gear 1 is activated
  • when speed is greater than 15 and less than 25 , flow is terminated and gear 2 is activated
  • speed is greater than 25 and less than 40 , flow is terminated and gear 3 is activated
  • when speed is greater than 40 and less than 60 flow is terminated and gear 4 is activated
  • when speed is greater than 60 flow is terminated and gear5 is activated.

five gear state is created as gear 1,2,3,4,5

the transition condition is as follows

speed is >15 shift to G =2

speed is >25 shift to G=3

speed is >40 shift to G=4

speed is >60 shift to G=5( when speed is shifting from 0-60kmph)

similarly in reverse

speed is <60 shift to G=4

speed is <40 shift to G=3

speed is < 25 shift to G=2

speed is < 15 shift to G=1( when speed is decreasing from 60-0 kmph)

above image shows a flow chart created using some blocks

a slider gain block is connected with a constant block

slider gain is used to variate speed for analysing different gear working basically it acts as speed input for the system

a display is connected to show which gear is used fro which speed ratio

we have use input as 58 kmph as input and we can see after run time gear 5 is activated .Similarly we can ananlyse different speed inputs for different gear ratio.
