Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

AIM:

to do the mid surfacing and meshing for the given plastic model

PROCEDURE:

open the given plastic model in your ANSA software

check for any geometric errors using checks geometry

if any error persists try to fix it automatically if possible, or else proceed manually

check the thickness of the model

in plastic model thickness might not be uniform

proceed to do midsurfacing parts by parts

put every parts of midsurface in single PID

after mid surfacing go for meshing

after meshing repair meshes which is congusted, non uniform

try to bring meshes within given quality criteria

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

to do mid surfacing

to do mesh

to repair mesh

CONCLUSION:

as this is ap plastic model this helps us to learn how to midsufacing and meshing for non uniform thickness component
