Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

Aim: To do a 2d mesh for the given bottle cap model.

Procedure:

• Import the cad model.
• Do cons resolution.
• Check for connectivity.
• Do orientation.
• Do geometric checks.
• Extract mid surface of the geometry.
• Give thickness to the mid surfaces.
• Use mesh options to mesh the mid surface.
• Check and clear all the quality issues.
• Do shells as solids
