Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components
Here iam attaching the Meshed ANSA file below

Here is the explaination about the mid surfacing and meshing for the above component
1. First the geometry cleanup has to be done on the given CAD model.
2. In that model ANSA found many geometrical issues and i given auto fix for all the errors and some of the errors was fixed manually.
3. After finising the geometric check then the mid surfacing has to be performed.
4. In this component the tough task is to take mid surface because the variable surface is there in the element so ia had taken the manual mid surfacing.
5. In this the Ribs were taken so much of time because the mid surfacing was taken for each one seperately. In this after taking the mid surface the Ribs has to extended to the cylinderical face.

6. Here the below Image shows the Inner ribs which is some more tricky to take mid surface. In this ihad taken the reference of the curve and by connecting the two curves i generated the new surface to create the mid. In this the FAQ provoided by the skill lync guided me to done the mid surface.

7. Then the thread feature has been captured by the same method given in the journal then the thread was look like the below image.

8. After this top features was taken mid. In that the variable thickness curve face was a bit tricky to solve.

9. then the geometry clean up was done in this the most tough thing is the geometry cleanup because many features was included like thread ribs and others so for it has taken some time. Ahnd then the average length was set to 1 mm.
10. Then My favourite part Meshing in this the meshing i couldn't purely clear the off elements because there is some areas were the off elements couldn't be removed.
11. For this model the off elements was 27 for the given quality parameter. In the below image i shown the details about the off elements and the traias i've got.

Thank you
