Challenge

Week - 4

1)washing machine control logic

Procedure
1)select chart by doble clicking and searching on simulink blank model
2)select states inside chart, here we have power state as input and water as input, soak, wash, rinse, dry, finish as output states.
3)null point is set between power and water state to check whether there is power supply and water supply.
4)condition power ==1 is given to check the availability of power if not it will goes to the null point. Second state is to check the availability of water if water is present it will goes to the soaking state.
5)after 200sec state changes to wash, then after 100 sec state changes to rinse. This state will continue for next 200sec after that it will continue to the dry state. After 50 sec all the process is finished. This is the logic used in the chart.
6)Outside the chart inputs are given by using constant blocks. And every state is indicated using lamps. Green for activation and red for interruption.
We can check the logic by input the values in the constant blocks and changing the simulation time.

2)GEAR BOX

1)here we have 6 states, gearbox, first, second, third, four and fifth

2)if speed is greater than zero the gear box shifted to first, when the speed reach a speed above 16 it will shift to the second gear and if the speed drops below 16 it will again shifted back to first gear.

ie, here we use a 2 way communication.

3)If the speed goes beyond 26 gear box shifted to third and beyond 41 it will shifted to fourth and beyond 61 it will reach the fifth gear. And vice versa will happens when the speed limits drops.

4)Outside the chart input is given using a constant block, a guage is used as an odometer and a scope is used to indicate the gearposition.
