Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge
- I have created mid surface
- Shell meshed the mid surface with offset the round portion of 5mm.
- Moved the mid-surface and element to different collectors according to geometry.
- Created thickness properties, the material of steel.
- Created the RBE2 and RBE3 elements according to the question.
- Created the cross section by using hyperbeam option and constructed the Box, I section and X sections.
- I created the property of Box, I section and X section and assigned the cross-section.
- I made the rod with the RBE2 link of the cross-section Box in the given cross-section dimension, beam and bar with the RBE3 link with mentioned criteria and dimension.
- I have given Mass and joined the two components with spring elements
- Saved everything. Final file screenshot is below.
