Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge
Objective: To Mesh the Given component with the Size of 5 Units & to Create 1D elements on the following component with given cross-section and DOF
Procedure:
- Mid surface is extracted first for both the components]
- Each mid surface is assigned to different component.
- Solids are deleted
- Material is assigned as Steel - Mat1
- Property is created for both bracket 1 & bracket 2 & material and thickness of 5mm is assigned to both the components
- As per the question RBE2, RBE3 Elements are created first as per DOF mentioned in the problem.
- Rods, Beam, Bar elements are created
- Hyperbeam is used to create Box, I, X sections respectively
- Three different properties are created for Box,I, X sections respectively & cross sections are assigned to them
- Bar, Beam, Rod elements are updated and cross sections are applied to it.
- CMASS1 is provided and also spring elements are updated.
