Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

Aim: Mesh the Given component with the Size of 5 Units. Create 1D elements on the following component with given cross-section and DOF

Procudure:

import geometry

extract mid surface

create washer and mesh with 5 unit

create material

create properties

Assign pbar to bar, pbeam to beam, prod to rod

create section for bar, rod and beam

choose thinwalled box for rod

I section for beam

Cross-section for bar

Create reb2 with dof 1,2,3 constrained, reb3 with all dof constrained, reb3 with dof1,2,3,4 constrained.

connect rbe2 and rbe3s with crod, cbeam and cbar

add mass and spring and show 1d element representation

Conclusion: midsurface created, use rbe2 and rbe3 to connect, use different sections for rob,beam and bar element. Mass and spring added.
