Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1) In the ADVISOR tool, the EV_defaults_in file is choosen and the cargo mass is updated as 500 kg with all other default conditions as it is in the tool as shown below.

Now with FTP drive cycle, the distance of the vehicle is calculated with repect to different no of cycles as shown below.
- With no of cycle = 1, the ditance travelled is 17.8 km.

- With no of cycle = 2, the ditance travelled is 35.5 km.

- With no of cycle = 3, the ditance travelled is km.

From the above cases we conclude that the,
For EV_defaults_in vehicle with cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, cannot travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle.
2) For the same vehicle with FTP drive cycle, let us check the distance travelled by the vehicle by changing the battery capacity.
- With no of cycle = 2 and the battery capacity as 26 modules, the distance travelled is 35.5 km.

- With no of cycle = 2 and the battery capacity as 27 modules, the distance travelled is 35.5 km.

- With no of cycle = 2 and the battery capacity as 28 modules, the distance travelled is 35.5 km.

- With no of cycle = 3 and the battery capacity as 26 modules, the distance travelled is 42.7 km.

- With no of cycle = 3 and the battery capacity as 27 modules, the distance travelled is 44.8 km.

- With no of cycle = 3 and the battery capacity as 28 modules, the distance travelled is 46.3 km.

From the above cases we could conclude that
In drive cycle 2 even though the battery parameters are changed we get constant distance travel.
In drive cycle 3 we get changes in distance travel by vehicle when the battery parameters are changed. When the battery modules = 28, we get the distance traelled by the vehicle as 46.3 km. Hence 45 km distance travel can be acheived in this case.
3) The gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in is as follows:

1) For 10 seconds time duration:
Speed - 20 mph,

Speed - 25 mph,

Speed - 30 mph,

2) For 20 seconds time duration:
Speed - 20 mph,

Speed - 25 mph,

Speed - 30 mph,

From the above cases,
| Speed of the vehicle | Duration | Gradeability |
| 20 mph | 10 | 19.80% |
| 25 mph | 10 | 16.50% |
| 30 mph | 10 | 14.70% |
| 20 mph | 20 | 22.90% |
| 25 mph | 20 | 19.70% |
| 30 mph | 20 | 17.70% |
We could conclude that the gradeability decrease with increase in the speed of the vehicle irrespective of the duration.
