Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool

1)In this case:

We first open the script advisor.m.Then we run the advisor command in the command window.

The advanced Vehicle simulator opens.We click on start.

We then select EV_defaults_in in the load file and only change the cargo mass value to 500 keeping other values to default.

Now click on continue and the other screen appears.Now change the drive cycle to CYC_FTP. Let the other conditions be default.

Now Run.

Here we can see that the vehicle covers a maximum distance of 17.8km.

Conclusion:-The vehicle cannot travel to 45kms with cargo mass of 500KG for this default values.

2) Now for this case we need to change the battery capacity and run the test again.

Change the battery capacity from 25 to 45.

Now continue

here we select drive cycle FTP.

The vehicle exceeded the range of 45kms.

3)Graedability tests with pirius Japan.

Now select the Prius_japan_defaults_in file.

Now click on continue,

Here tick and enable the gradability test setting.

Now click on Run,
