Title: PWM controlled fan load and DC motor

Description: Here the model is about pwm controlled fan load with dc motor. There are two parts here. Fan load and DC motor. Here is we see we can see:

  • Pulse Generator: Here pulse type determines the computational technique used in PWM.
  • Controlled Voltage Source: It is an ideal voltage source which gives output voltage Vs constant irrespective of current.
  • Controlled PWM Voltage: This block creates a Pulse-Width Modulated (PWM) voltage across the PWM and REF ports.
  • H-Bridge:This block represents an H-bridge motor drive. The block can be driven by the Controlled PWM Voltage block in PWM or Averaged mode.
  • Current Sensor:The block represents an ideal current sensor, that is, a device that converts current measured in any electrical branch into a physical signal proportional to the current.
  • Voltage Sensor:The block represents an ideal voltage sensor, that is, a device that converts voltage measured between any electrical connections into a physical signal proportional to the voltage.
  • DC Motor: If we see clearly then we can see the stator and rotor of the motor and also the brushes of the motor. There is a commutator to reverse the current for constant flow.Connected to it are mechanical linkages.
  • Ideal Torque Source:The block represents an ideal source of torque that generates torque at its terminals proportional to the input physical signal.
  • Ideal Rotational Motion Sensor:This block measures angular velocity or angle in a mechanical rotational network. The sensor is ideal since it does not account for inertia, friction, delays, energy consumption, and so on.

Working of the project:

The project is based on square law which states that the torque is directly proportional to the rotational speed of the fan square.

T is directly proportional to W^2.

We used the electrical reference and mechanical reference.

The goto anf from block are also used of the simulink to get the values of torque speed and voltage value and it will be displayed on scope and xy graphs resoectively.
