Q1.For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations

we takeadvisor tool in matlab then we change load file into EV_defaults_in and parameters we take cargo mass 500kg then click continue

after conitnue we change the cycle itno FTP_drive cycle and click run

we observe the above cycle the distance is 17.8 km for 1 cycle then we change cycle into 2

after changing no.of cycle 2 then click run

from the above figure we observe the distance is 36.45 km then click back button we change the cycle into 3

then we change no. of cycles into 3 then cilck run

the distance travelled by vehicle is 41.4 km by consuming 100% battery for 3 cycles

EV_default car can not go for 45 km with a load of 500kgs.

Q2.

In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

in vehicle input we change the capacity of battery from energy storage row which will be open in "mod and vnom"

we take 27 modules and drive cycles 3

at 27 modules the distance travelled is 44.8km

we change the module into 30 then click run

the distance travelled by vehicle is 49.1km

then we observe the ability of battery increases the the distance travelled by vehicle also increases.

Q3.

Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file

Compare your results in table and conclude.

we select gradibility option then click grade options at 40 mph at 10sec

at 70 mph

so by carrying out the tests on various speeds we can find the gradibility of prius
