1. For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.
Steps to Lanche Advisor tool in matlab
Advisor appication is download from internet
Matlab folder should be changed to the advisor folder before lanching advisor
and to start the application type Advisor in comman window
EV_default file is selected from dropdown list and the Cargo weight is increased to 500 from 136
Test run with FTP drive cycle
As per above result
On completing the 1s cycle the Vehicle cover 17.4Km (with discharge of battery 40%)
and on completing the 2nd cycle the vehicle covers 35.5 km(with the discharge of battery 81%)
and before finishing the 3rd cycle the vehicle stop around 41.4km with battery SOS is completely utilized
So the conclusion is the Vehicle cannot run for 45km.

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.
Battery module of the vehicle is increased to 35 modules from 25 as shown below
and run the test again
As per the above result , the vehicle can run 45kms so we can conclude the increasing the capacity of the battery will increase the Range of the Vehicle.

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
Compare your results in table and conclude.
Grade test are run at three different grading angle 0%, 5% & 10% and got the below result
To simplyfy the result in table from as below
From the above table we can see that if gradability is increased it will increase the power consuemed from the Vehicle to cover same distance
in other words if an IC engine vehicle runs on high slope it will consume more fuel than the less slope path.
For battery vehicle it will reduce the range of the vehicle if it runs on high slop path.
