First We Discuss ADVISIOR TOOL

Introduction-

ADVISOR tool developed in November 1994 by National Renewable Energy Laboratory(NREL). It allows user to simulate and analysis convtional, heavy vehicle include hybrid and fuel cell vehicle.

It is set of of model ,data for use with MATLAB And Simulink.

How to Start ADVISOR Tool ?

1 Launch MATLAB and first set the default location.

2 Now command window type ‘’ advisor ’’ and Press Enter.

3 A new window will be open and we set ‘’matric’’ for unit and start the ADVISOR

4 It will new window pop-up

Q.1 For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.

1 first we have to load EV-default_in load file from parallel_defult _in load file.

2 Then we have change cargo mass to 500kg then we see total mass vehicle change.

3 Now click Continue button after that New Window will pop-up

4 In simulation parameter we have change drive cycle for CYC_FTP then # of cycle we change 3 then click on RUN Button

RESULT- The Distance Travelled by vehicle is 41.4 km

Q.2 In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

• The no.of module battry pack incresed to 50 from 25. Then total mass is increase as 1783kg

• It can be observed that total distance the vehicle can travel is 53.3km. By increase the battery pack for double.

Q.3 Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file . Compare your results in table and conclude

• The PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in is loaded on advisor tool and keep all value using same to find gradeability test to various speed range.

• Same as step follow to find other speed value and find different gradeability .
