Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal

AIM

To take the midsurface for the given hood model and mesh the midsurface using the given quality criteria.

PROCEDURE

1. Open the given model using ANSA software.

2. Do the geometry cleanup for each part given and fix the issues if any found.

3. Extract the midsurface for each part manually and assign PID for each part.

4. Assign the given quality criteria and mesh parameters before meshing.

5. Start meshing and try to get a good mesh pattern by following the given quality criteria.

LEARNIG OUTCOMES

In this challenge we get to learn how to take mid surfacing manually and do meshing of a complex model by following the given quality criteria. Also we learn more about mesh pattern and how to get a good mesh pattern using various operations.

CONCLUSION

In this challenge the midsurface for the given model was taken and meshed sucessfully using the given quality criteria.
