Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal

Aim- A proper mesh flow for a hood by using mesh generation best command and also other options to improve the mesh flow for having a mesh we need to first take initially a mid surface for that.

Procedure- 1. Check For Geometry

2. Check For Thickness of the surface

3. Go to faces-Mid Surface- Skin and give required offset value

4. Start with geometry cleanup

5. From Perimeters Length Give target value as 5mm

6. From Macros- Cut option, perform cuts in order to make square or rectangle formation type of cuts to avoid trias during mesh

7. For Mesh go to Classic Mesh- Mesh Generation- Best Mesh

8. For Hood Inner cut the Mid Surface from center in such a manner that we can mirror the same after mesh for making task easy

9. for mirror go to Transform - Copy- Select Entity- Syymetry- Select any suitable option for mirror

10.From Shell Mesh Use Reconstruct & Smooth for better mesh

* Did not took the ScreenShots while performing

Learning Outcomes:

Learn to how to take a mid surface by different means by offset command and also by mid surface a classic mesh, Split option, Paste option, Mirror, Topo, Geometry Cleanup,Cut,Join,Pro.Cut, Set PID, Swap, Zone Cut, Auxillaries-Fine, Faces-COONS

Conclusion:

By performing and getting used to different options repeatedly able to cope up with speed to perform operation.
