Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal

Aim: To create develop mesh patterns on the hood part

Procedure : As follows

Step1: Give indivdual part ID to each all element(differntiate main part and sub parts by different colour)

Step 2: Make the material as a defined material

Step 3: Make the meshing permiter as 5 mm length

Step 4: Gemetry clean up for each part
The needle face can be corrected by deleting the face and the crack between faces can be corrected by adding a new face to fit the crack area.

Make sure doing toplogy after every operation.

step 5: Mid surface extraction

Step 6:Meshing of the part

Before meshing we should ensure the minimum lenght ,maximum length, target lenght also.

Select the required quality parameters and then got meshing

Select the best mesh and then select the region to be meshed.

Select the nodes and measure the lentghs.

Conclusion:

Meshing is completed for the given part.
