Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
Geometry Cleanup
The geometry should be checked for extra edges or double cones. Triple cones in this geometry is not considered as error because there are three surfaces combined with each other which is causing the triple cones
Also pids are assigned for each region so that meshing can be done accurately and used while solving the problem
Meshing procedure
Three Target lengths are assigned ,also the perimeters and macros are given the same lengths and meshing is done using the spot mesh
Geometry

Case 1 - Target Length = 1 mm

Case 2 - Target Length = 3 mm

Case 3 - Target Length = 5 mm

Mesh Quality
When we observe the surfaces
5 mm

3mm

1mm

we can notice that the meshing is not upto the mark ,so if we measure the minimum distance between the nodes and compare with the target length
and if the target length is more that the minimum distance ,definitely its not gonna give a good quality mesh
Also generally how much small is the target length ,the mesh quality will be high as well as the result obtained will be highly accurate
So here among the three target length 1mm , 3mm and 5 mm , the best option is the 1mm target length mesh
