Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

peoject report :

AIM:

To study surface meshing on given geometry ,making three different models with 3 different target lenth while using the ansa .

ANSA PHJASE:

check the geometry error single conc, double conc and triple conc etc.

fill the hole in the correct manner

create the new surface in incomplete area

GEOMETRY:

the model has provided has many flows which are to be corrected before meshing

INTRODUCTION:

Basically is work with topo mode is basically use for checking the topology of the model .we a lot of tools using to solving the errors

TOPO->first check the geometry error ANSA ->CHECK ->GEOMETRY->visible lot of checks is present the model

*sharp edge

*colapsed conc

*triple conc

*overlap face

as we can see there are many problem s there are many singles conc and open holes in geometry

so we can perforn a geometry check in built in ANSA.

select the checks and extrude .lot of errorbshow in the ANSA

locate geometrical problem of the model such as

*unmeshed macros

*unchecked faces

*need faces

*colasped conc

*triple conc

Hot points means nothing but any line to have start point to end at starting with the end point.

FACE->NEW->Exciting the surface option ,how the option will be work .First readd the instruction and wil all single conc

After executing we can find the all ertor in the geometry, so we can work on thwm onw by one.

SINGLE CONS:

As you know if you want any surfce select the instruction and will the all single conc

FACE->NEW ->COONS->BOTTOM LOOP ->select the close select the gap and fill it .

same way use to conc option click on the loop option .shoew the previous ,accept surface ok.

As shown above we can fix all the gapmin geometry, also ANSA show alternate option i n all the face sto create a face according our requirement.

Now we usw tosome boolean opertion this is called boolean option

/ OR-Isolate any kind of surface

+AND-Double conc are show

-NOT-the surface hidding open that

Now ,we can perforn geometry check to check for any other errors , before meshing we need to check while making new faces have,we made any new cuts are which are very close to easy other there are then we need to delete them.

CUT option and clicking right click on the cut

Each component to facilities the meshing part and also regulation any new clean up.

Asshown by choosing new we create a new PDI and then we assign them to any part .

the bulb sign inthe sign ofPDI show that PDI is visible.

As you can see,i have hide body in above pic.Like this becomes easy to handle the geometry,we need to assign,PDIfor everypart so we canhandle the geometry ,more easily.

Basically removing the units, remove the rstriction by smaller surface , right the line conc from here.it from ahistory of line.

As you can see , i have the hide body in above picture.Like this it becomes easy to handle the geometry,we need to assign PDI for every part so we can handle the geometry more easily.

MESHING:

Target length=5mm

Minimum length=3mm

Maximum length =7mm

Target length=3mm

Minimum length=1mm

Maximum length= 5mm

total no, of cells =23912

As thwe no.of the cell increase the time for calculation increase so the cel size should be according to the required acciracy according to me 3mm.

for the boby 3mm is good as with so many cells it will take a lot of the time to calculate and the result might beb be almost samw , we can always diff. the mesh length along the part so for the smaler part we can use 2mm for more accuracy.

CONCLUSION:

with fine mesh size the acuracy increase butb the time for calculation also increase

We can make two diff.target length according the size of the part.

This case the outer casing meshing size can be 3mm which is not that fine eaither for good and accurate result

For the smaller parts like the spring and the column heaqd the length can be 1mm so accuracy for smaller part increase too.
