Week 2 Challenge
| S.No. | Self Weight | Formula | Calculation (KN/m) |
| 1 | Deck Slab | width*thickness*unit weight | 7*0.2*25 = 35 |
| 2 | Wearing Coarse | width*thickness*unit weight | 7*0.05*24 = 8.4 (unit weight of finishes =24) |
| 3 | Parapet | height*thickness*unit weight | 1.08*0.3*25*25=202.5 (n=25, no.of railing post) |
| 4 | Kerb Beam | width*depth*unit weight* no.of kerb beam (n=2) | 0.35*0.3*25*2= 5.25 |
| 5 | I Girder | area*unit weight*no.of girder | (1000*200*2+800*500)*25*4= 80 |
| 6 | Cross Beam | width*depth*unit weight*no.of cross beam(4) | 0.3*1.5*25*4 = 45 |
No. of Parapet wall = 2 nos.
= 2*202.5= 404 KN/m
Total dead load = self weight of deck slab+self weight of floor finishes+self weight of parapet+self weight of kerb beam+self weight of I girder + self weight of cross beam + self weight of pedestrian walking
= 35+8.4+404+5.25+80+45+5
= 582.65 KN/m
STADD MODEL:-
- Firstly i designed the bridge according to the data
- Assuming the girder dimensions as width of flange=1000 mm,thickness of flange = 200 mm, width of web=500mm, depth of web = 800 mm
- After designing firstly i apply the self weight on whole structure
- Then i applied the dead load of slab and wearing coarse on the slab
- Then dead load of parapet wall is applied on the kerb beam
- IRC Class A Loading is taken for analysis purpose
