Answer No. 02

The joining of materials is an important technology in any manufacturing industries. All the products and car body parts are assembled from parts. The joining process can be achieved through rivets, seaming, clamping, soldering, brazing, welding. The joining processes include welding, brazing, soldering, mechanical fastening.

We have different types of joining processes, in that Mechanical joining nad Metallurgical joining can be used to provide temporary or permanent joints. In the joining process welding, brazing, and soldering processes are mainly used to provide permanent joints.

Answer No.03

Resistance welding is a most used welding technology ijn manufacturing industry fot joining the metal sheets and components. Resistance welding is normally used to join two plain metal work pieces. The resistance welding is one of the old and simple resistance welding.

Resistance welding applications.

a) This method is simple and does not need any high expert labor.

b) It does not need any filler metal and protecting gases.

c) Resistance welding speed very high

d) Similar and dissimilar metals are capable to welding.

Types of resistance welding.

a) Seam welding

b) Spot welding

c) Projection welding

Answer No.04

Fusion welding is one of the most used weldings. To weld steel, electric current is required, to creat the electric arc between one or various electrodes.

types of fusion weldings.

a) Shielded metal arc welding

b) Plasma arc welding

c) Tungsten gas welding

d) MEtal inert gas welding

Answer No.05

3-2-1 principle is the best and most effective method of part location is referred to as the 3-2-1 method. The 3-2-1 principle of location is used to constrain the movement of workpiece along the 3 axes XX, YY, and ZZ.

Basic rule for location in a plane parallel to plane contains Y and Z axes. It restricts the movement body part along X axis in one direction.

Answer No.06

The body coordinate system has been most used technology nin automotive industry for drawing of body parts and process design.

X- Longitudinal direction ( front and back ) and Front O line.

Y- TYransverse direction ( cross and centre ) and Centre O line.

Z- Vertical direction ( up and down ) and Body O line.

The body coordinate system defines the position of each product in the vehicle fixed origin.

Answer No.07

Body plane system are three planes. These three planes are refeance planes and used to difine all GD& T in ody parts.

Body plane system essentials.

a) Easy design for assemble line.

b) Location of all parts in the vehicle is simple.

c) Quality cheching is easy.

d) Body part of product each position nis fixes to origin.
