Week -2
Theory:
Applying voltage through a battery and when the switch is closed .The electromagentic coil is energised and the plunger of the rod attracts towards the electromagentic coil and the hit the metal arm of the bell.when the switch is off the electromagentic coil de-energised the plunger and away from the metal arm (Open position).while hitting of the arm is depends on the time period designed by the user. we can see kind of bell system in the educationinstitutes(schools, colleges).
1.1.Click on the Matlab icon to open.
2.Click on the simulink icon in the matlab.
3.click on the blank model/To create model.
4.Click on the library browser - click on the commonly used sources- click on the scope.
5.Again click on the Library browser- click on the sources-select the pulse generator- click on the pulse generator -Assign the timeperiod value of 4 sec.
6. Double Click on the model page and type the battery,Again Double Click on the model page type switch for the electrical part.
7.Double Click On the model page and type the Solenoid and the Ideal Translational motion sensor.
8.Double Click on the model page and type the simulink to ps converter and ps-simulink converter, Again type the Electrical reference and Mechanical Translational reference and Solver.
9.Connect all the blocks as per the model. After model is ready .
10.Click on the run button for the simulation of 10 seconds.
11.Here we will observe the graph(vibrations) of the plunger movement. If we connect another scope to the pulse generator then we will observe graph (Pulse width output).
12.Click on the file - click on the copy to clipboard- In search type paint- then copy the simulation result in paint .the result is ready for the report.
13.I had done the simulation for 10 seconds and 5 seconds for the plunger movement .
2
1.Click on the Matlab icon to open.
2.Click on the simulink icon in the matlab.
3.click on the blank model/To create model.
4.Click on the library browser - click on the commonly used sources- click on the scope.
5.Double click on the model page and type the signal builder block. Click on the signal builder model and input waveform appears. Change the input according to the question requirements.Click on the Axes and set the maximum time period of (50sec).and change the graph waveform by clicking on the points of the waveform according to the temperature conditions.
6.Click on the Simulink-Ps converter and click on the Input handling set the filter input ,derivatives calculated.
7.Double click on the model page and type the controlled temperature sensor and Thermistor, solver, thermal reference for the thermal part.
8.Double click on the model page and type the battery, voltage sensor, resistor, electrical reference for the thermistor ouput.
9.Double click on the model page and type the switch , here we are consider the threshold model switch. for which we will assign a value of 1 for port 1 and 0 for the port3. when the voltage of the threshol value is high the arrow type switch gives the output to the scope. otherwise it is zero condition.
10.By using the constant block assign the temperature at 25 degree centigrade is converted in to kelvin is 298(apply).And the dispaly value is (0.01189) is assign to the threshold of the switch. Again connect the signal buildder block and run the simulation.
11.Connect all the blocks as per the model diagram and check the simulation for the period of 50 seconds.
12.From the output waveform we can see the fan is on for particular period of time , i.e 10 to 30 seconds. At that time period only the temperature is above 25 degree centigrade. The remaining time period the fan is off condition.
13.These are the observation i had seen as per my knowledge.
