To design a door bell we need a solenoid which is excited by a dc voltage. The solenoid is made of strong magnet which has an electrical winding so that it produces electro magnetic field around it. Due to that electro magnetic field the plunger moves towards the bell.

The aim is to see the output of a door bell that is the movement of plunger which is driven by the strong electro magnetic waves from the solenoid.

We can see the output of a solenoid using the ideal translational motion sensor. The translational motion sensor captures the velocity or position of a given system attached to it.

When we observe the model, the solenoid is made of both electrical and physical component i.e,, blue and green in color respectively.

There must be an ground connected to both physical and electrical system. we need electrical reference and mechanical translational reference. These both acts as an ground to their system.

The scope is connected to see the position of electro magnetic waves by converting the physical system signals into simulink by ps to simulink converter.

We need a signal builder to build the incoming signal to the switch which has an on time of 2 secs.

If we run the entire system there will be error showing missing solver configuration. we need to connect the solver configuration so that entire system is translated into a equation so that simulink model needs to run.

The output of a door bell i.e,, electro magnetic waves are shown in above figure.

Thermistor is a type of resistor. The resistance of this device depends upon temperature. The word itself indicating that it is combination of thermal and resistor.

Given that the temperature source delivers the heat of

20℃ = 273+20 = 293k at 0-10 secs

27℃ = 273+27 = 300k at 10-30 secs

23℃ = 273+23 = 296k at 30-50 secs

and the simulation time is taken as 50secs

The theme of our challenge is to observe changes in values of voltage across the resistor which is connected series to the thermistor. While the temperature is varying the performance should be varied.

To control the temperature across the thermistor. We need a controlled temperature source which is connected to the thermistor.

The controlled temperature source needs an input which has fluctuating temperature signal as per the given conditions

The signal builder passes the input signal to the controlled temperature source by means of simulink-ps converter. The simulink-ps converter is an block which converts the simulink block signals into physical system signals.

The ps-simulink converter is an block which converts the physical system signals into simulink signals.

The thermal reference block is taken as ground to the thermal system i.e,, appeared in orange color.

solver configuration converts the total block of signals into the equation to solve the simulink model.

We are sensing the voltage across the thermistor by means of voltage sensor.

The battery connected to the physical system which delivers the voltage of 12V.

The ground to the physical system is maintained by electrical reference.

The sensed voltage i.e,, output of voltage sensor is given to switch and displayed by display block. It displays the peak value of the voltage.

Here we need a switch which should be on/off with respect to given input. The threshold value of the switch should be adjusted to fixed value that is as same as the value at display block. Here we adjusting this parameter because to on our switch the condition i.e,, u2>=threshold value should be satisfied. The on state is defined by constant block which has input as 1 and off state is defined by 0.

The above output shows when the switch is in on/off state.

During the time 0-10 secs and 30-50 secs the switch is in off because the u2 i.e,, input to the switch is less than threshold value.

During the time intreval 10-30 secs the switch is in on condition because the u2 i.e,, input to the switch is greater than threshold value. Hence the input condition is satisfied.
