Q1)Make a Simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with the following details:

In the above arrangement, when the switch is closed the electromagnet receives electrical power from the battery and pulls the metal arm to hit the bell producing sound.

Create a situation where the switch is closed for 2 seconds and then released. Observe the physical movement of the plunger.

Assume remaining parameters.

Procedure:-

1) To make swith on and off for interval of 2 sec we use pulse generator. It is connected via simulink-ps converter.

2) Then we connect battery to switch and then to solenoid.

3) To measure the displacement in solenoid we use ideal translational motion sensor

4) It can be observed by scope which is connected to the sensorvia ps-simulink converter

5) Electical referance and mechanical translational referance is connected as referances

output:-

Q2 Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan as per the below conditions:

Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds

Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise

The model :-

Procedure:-

1) we use repeating sequence stairs to create the various temperature conditions. And one branch is connected to te scope

2)This signal is connected to the 'S' port of controlled temperature source via simulink- ps converter.

3) 'B' port of controlled temperature source is connected to 'A' port of thermister.

4) Then we connect the battery before the thermister .

5) Next in circuit resistor is connected and a voltage sensor is connected across resistor.

6)And a electrical referance is also connected.

7) The output of voltage sensor is given to two PS simulink converter and one is supplied to display.

8)Another signal is provided as input to the the switch block.

9)Switch block is like if else condition the middel port is input signal provided by the voltage sensor.

10)We have to provide the some threshold value(for threshold value we provide temperature as 25 and the threshold value is 0.03508) if the signal is greater than the threshold value then the output of switch is the input

to its 1st port that is '1' else the signal is less than the threshold value then the output of switch is the input to its 3rd port that is '0'.

11) The scope connected to the switch block shows the result.

12)1st graph shows the temperature variation.

13)And the 2nd one is the for the fan '0'means fan is OFF and '1' means fan is ON.
