Aim:

To make simulink model of doorbell using solenoid.

Simulink Model:

Expalanation:

The Pulse generator is used to create square pulses at regular interval.

An Battery is used as an Electrical source.

The switch block used is controlled by external physical signal.

The Positive terminal terminal of the switch is connected to switch and the negative terminal is connected to electrical reference.

The solenoid bank is connected with switch and battery.port c is connected with Mechanical refernce.

the ideal transalational sensor is connected with solenoid block R to observe the movement of plunger.

PS-Simulink Converter is used to convert physical signal to Simulink signal.

An scope is used to display vibrational movement of the plunger.

Result:

Time period given is 2 sec to pulse generator to open and close switch.When switch is closed,solenoid recceives electrical source from battery and plunger moves from port R to C to hit the bell and produce sound.

2.Thermistor:

Aim:To use thermistor to sense temperature and Turn on and off Motor.

Inputs:

20 C from 0 to 10 sec,

27 C from 10 to 30 sec,

23 C from 30 to 50 sec.

Simulink model:

Expalantion:

An inputs values are assigned in Signal Builder block.

An controlled temperature is ideal source of Thermal energy.

An linaer reristor is used inorder to reduce the current from the battery.

The voltage sensor is used to convert the voltage measured in two points in a physical system.

Electrical and thermal reference is connected.

Results:

For 0 to 10 sec fan is Off because temperature is 293 K which is threshold 298K.After 10 sec

temperature is 300K and Fan is ON,after 30sec fan is Off as temperature is 296K.
