Week 14 challenge
In this challenge we create a 3D Assy. of butter fly valve by using the individual components.
For creating the this part I have used the assy. Module, first we open all the parts in the assy. Module after then we apply the assy. Constrain to mate the part with each other correctly, first we use the align constrain to match the hole position with each other then we apply the touch constrain to make surface to surface contact with both the parts, we use the same methodology to assemble all the parts in the main body. after creating the complete assy. we create the 2D projection this assy. as shown below,
After that we provide the hole dim. For all the 6 side flange holes, with basic tolerance of ±0.1
Then we define the datum target area over the 3 side flange holes on the body with dia of 18 mm & call them as A1, A2 & A3, all these datum target form the Datum 'A', then provide the flatness of 0.15 to the one side of the body of the valve and called this as a Datum 'A' & this flatness will be applicable only to these datum target area only, then we create the feature control frame for one of the hole ID with perpendicularity tolerance with max. material condition back to datum A & we call this FCF as a Datum 'B', now we create another FCF for another side hole with position tolerance having max. material condition back to datum A & B, datum B has Max. material modifier as this is the feature of size & we call this FCF as a Datum 'C', now another FCF for the 3 side hole of the body with position tolerance having max. material condition back to datum A, B & C, datum B & C has Max. material modifier as this is the feature of size & we call this FCF as a Datum 'D' & now we control the other side flange holes of the body by using the Datum B, C & D resp. for this we create an FCF to with position tolerance having max. material condition back to datum B, datum B has Max. material modifier as this is the feature of size & we use only datum 'B' because this hole is opposite to the datum 'B' hole, similarly we create another 2 FCF for the remaining flange holes with position tol. back to datum 'C' & 'D' resp., datum C & D has Max. material modifier as these are the feature of size. and then we provide the profile surface tolerance to the other side of the body back to datum 'A'
