Week 14 challenge

-> IN the above assembly, GD&T is only performed on the parts to be mated to outsides pipes.

- GD & T are performed on all 6 ears of the butterfly valve since they are mating with outside features. To control the thickness and profile form is used.

- The primary datum restricts /constraints 3 dof , given as A1, A2, A3 respectively.

-The secondary datum, which is a hole with perpendicular relation with datum A constraints 2 DOF.

while the other 1 DOF is constrained with another hole with position tolerance along with datum A & B.

-Since the back ears should always be aligned to the front ears , they should have a FCFs in relation to each other as shown.
