AIM : To Mesh the given Rear Wheel Holder component.
OBJECTIVE : To Mesh the given Rear Wheel Holder component using given mesh Quality and should pass all the criteria.
CAD MODEL :
PROCEDURE :
1) Import the file named Project2.iges.
2) Using the geometry menu in the menu bar, use the geometry cleanup tools to ensure a fully enclosed volume. Check the topology and verify if we still have free edges.
3) Now using the Midsurface option in the Geometry panel create the Midsurface of the Rear Wheel Holder component.
4) Now create a middle line so that the there happens to be two partially similar surafce on the either side of the middle line.
5) Since two partially similar surface are created make the two surfaces in two different component.
6) Assign the Material and Thickness to the component.
6) Now take the first component and mesh it. Make sure that the mesh flow is proper and passes all the mesh critera.
7) Then make sure that there is proper connection between edges of the nodes.
8) Now Mesh the other part with parameters mentioned earlier.
9) Now Combine the two meshed component, make sure that both the component passes the quality criteria and no edge is free.
RESULT :
1) Successfully Meshed the given component with proper mesh flow and passed all the given quality criteria.
2) Successfully assigned the Materail and Thickness to the component.
