Week 12:Project-1-Meshing of Door Inner Panel Challenge

Aim:

To mesh the given component as per the given quality parametrs and also assign the material property to the component.

Procedure:

The first step is to import the model into the work space,

Then the next step is defeture the surface where the mesh will not occur properly or there is a chance for a element failure.

After the completion of defeature the next step is to extract the mid surface for the given component.

As this a large and complex component it will be easier if we split the component and extract the mid surface.

By using the auto mid surface option extract the mid surface for the component and rework manually for the surface where auto mid fail to extract the mid surface.

The mesh flow will not be proper in all the surface. So we need to re arrange and rebuild the mesh to get a good mmesh flow.By using allign the nodes, by using cobine trias, by using pasting the nodes

and also by using rebuilding mesh we can get a proper mesh flow.

Feed the quality parametrs and check for the quality points in the quality index.

The final step is to assign the property to the component, Assign the actual thickness each component by collecting the element in different collector and assign the property.

Conclusion:

Meshing is completed for the given compoinent and assigned property to the component.
