Week 12-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge

AIM-

the aim odf this challenge is to extract the midsurface of the given sheet metal part and provide proper connection based on opstruct solver .

PRCEDURE-

the steps are involved are,.

7)

1) mesh the given geometry according to the quality criteria given .

2) provide the proper connection .

3) clear the mesh flow around the relized connection

meshing of the geometry.

the imported geometry consist of 9 components as shown in fig.

1) the imported geometry is meshed according to tyhe given quality criteria and the final mesh .and important note that zero element failed and quality criteria.

2) seam connections created by and selecting the seam option under the connections menu under 2D tab.

3) select the nodes by path where the seams need to be created.

4) spevcify the tolorance distance greater than the gap between the components by , 10mm.

5) select the weld type angeled+ capped+l .

6) the weld angle is 45 degree the spacing is set as 5 mm,

7) seam connections created by selecting the seam option and spot connections under 2D tab.

8) specify the dia as 5 mm

9) specift the no of the componets 1,2,3

10) seam connections created byy the seam option under the connection menu to be created. select the type of hexa adhensive.

11) specify the no strips and coats . yto create a bolt connector bolt

12) specify the location of the bolt selecting by the nodess

13) rework around the connected area requirement to no ensure abovet he elemts of the quality,

CONCLUSION-

all component have been meshed proper connection ate relized .
