Week 11 - Final project
FINAL PROJECT interior car door trim design
Aim:-
To design interior car door trim using you and Classes surface to create thickness to it and
create doghouse push in heatsink using given input check to link feasibility check for manufacturing.
Given data
Class A surfaces of
Armrest
upper substrate
lower substrates
map pocket
Master sections
Tooling Axis:-
To find tooling access using method point and direction and bisection method.
This is defined as the direction in which the mold opens or core and cavity open and close the selection of the
correct Tooling axis is essential to ensure the components are taken out perfectly and also the cost of the
components should be less.

Draft analysis-
Draft analyses technique to analyze whether the component created is manufactured able or not based on the draft
condition applied so here is the direction in which the component should be ejected to get the easy removal
the direction will be the pooling access created the minimum draft value for the automotive plastic component is 3°
and those for texture face 7° of the draft a suitable draft is provided to the component for easy removal of the mouldin
the case of plastic components.

Surfaces:-
Class A surface-
class A surfaces are given but we should make improvements if required by prior permission.

Class B surfaces-
For creating a class B surface we have to offset class a surface to 2.5 MM which is the thickness of the part according
to the master section which is given as the input.

Class C surfaces-
Class C surface is defined as the surface which connects class A and class B.
