Week 10 Challenge
- Based on the analysis design RC column and beam.
Answer:
After the completion of the whole structure in TSD along with the application of all types loading.Analysis is odne for the individual elements to check whether the structure is safe for each loading.
The analysis starts with individual elements which are checked for bending moment,shear force,axial force which make the lement to fail.
Inorder to counteract these above inner reactions of the individual elements there we provide reinforcement according to the requirement in provision with IS codes.
The individual elements that are to be achieved are:
1.Columns
2. Beams
In TSD the elements are checked using ratio for reinforcement in main bars,distributed bars and stirrups with size of the element.
The ratio should be less than 1 for the individual element to get passed.
Column Analysis:
It is done in 3 steps
- Ist order linear analysis is performed for columns on diffrent load combinations.
- Based on the analysis find the columns which are failed.
- Redesign the columns with the required reinforcement.

Beam Analysis:
