Week 10 - Challenge 1- Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss)
DOOR HANDLE :-
Tooling Axis creation:
It is defined as the direction in which the mould/core and cavity open. Selection of the direction of the tooling axis depends on the ease at which components can be easily ejected.
By seeing the component we can anlyse that the most easily ejectable direction is somewhere close to the Z direction,(might be inclined to it) so we have made a sketch on the YZ plane of Axis System), in bisecting method we take bisecting line of the 2 faces which might be difficult to be tooled as tooling axis.
DRAFT ANALYSIS
In class A draft anlysis we can see this class A surface needs to be corrected as there are some surfaces which are not having a minium required draft of 3 degree.

Same as class A surface we also have same undraft faces in body produced using same cass A as below.

CREATING THE RIB
Creating a rib is simple task as we draw line and extruded it in tooling direction and then thicken it to required thickess which calculated fron given criteria.
we take all the dimention for rib as per standrad calculations. then drated and given required fillet to it. also after that we cheked rib root diameter that it is within limit or not.
CREATING THE SCREW BOSS
for screw boss we created the sketch and extruded it and join the body apply the draft and fillet. the dimensions for the screw boss are calculated as per the standtard procedure.
