Week 10 Bullet penetrating a Bucket Challenge
- Objective: To simulate a bullet penetrating into a bucket. And Bucket contains 3 different non-linear materials (Aluminum Alloy NL, Copper Alloy NL, and Magnesium Alloy NL). To analyze their behavior for the same velocity of the bullet.
- Tool/Software: Ansys Workbench 2022R
- Modal: Provided by Skilllync (Download from the challenge)
- Material:
1. Bucket --> Aluminum Alloy NL, Copper Alloy NL, and Magnesium Alloy NL
2. Bullet --> TANTALUM
- Mesh:
Total Nodes = 2144
Total Elements = 6170

- Velocity = 1.39e+005 mm/s (- X_direction)

- Results
| Material | Velocity X Component | Total Deformation Maximum | Equivalent Stress Maximum | |
| mm s^-1 | mm | MPa | ||
| Case -1 | Aluminum Alloy NL | -139000 | 268.1701895 | 431.559851 |
| Case-2 | Copper Alloy NL | -139000 | 1439.7328 | 486.3453878 |
| Case-3 | Magnesium Alloy NL | -139000 | 658.3677649 | 457.599754 |

- Conclusion:
1. The Bullet much penetrating in Copper Alloy NL material comparative other no-liner materials
2. The Bullet didn't pass through for no-liner materials components.
