Challenge

Week 10- Assembly Workbench

PRODUCT WORKBENCH CHALLENGE

BRIEF ABOUT THE KEY WORK DONE:

In this particular challenge the assembly of CV JOINT and QUICK RETURN MECHANISM is done from the input as drawings of various individual parts, later drafting of the component along with the assembly is done in the assembly bench.

OBJECTIVE:

  1. Creating the parts in the part workbench from the drawing received as input.
  2. Make proper iso-constrained sketch and follow design rules.
  3. Create assembly in the product workbench.
  4. Use proper constraints of the product workbench for assembly purpose.
  5. Using the explode command at last and then updating for ensuring the proper assembly.
  6. Drafting of all the parts and assembly.

POINTS TO REMEMBER:

Use proper geometrical sets for sketches and partbody for 3D creation of the part.

CV JOINT ASSEMBLY:

1)BODY 1

Creating the part in the sketcher workbench using proper constraints.

ENSURE PROPER TREE STRUCTURE FOR COVERING THIS PART.

Later publish the important geometry like points and axis which will be required in the assembly window using tools and then publish , do such process for all the parts if the CV joint.

2)BODY 2

3)BODY 3

OPEN THE PRODUCT WORKBENCH AND COPY OR CALL ALL THE PARTS OF THE RESPECTIVE ASSEMBLY USE PROPER COINCIDENCE CONSTRAINTS FOR ALLIGNING THE COMPONENTS AND USE OFFSETS OR CONTACT FOR ASSEMBLY.

EXPLODING AND THEN AGAIN UPDATING FOR ENSURING THE PROPER ASSEMBLY CONSTAINTS.

DRAFTING THE RESPECTIVE COMPONENTS AND ASSEMBLY AND MAKE SURE YOU MANUFACTURE THE COMPONENT WITH ALL THE DIMENSIONS LISTED IN THE DRAWING.

QUICK RETURN MECHANISM:

1)BASE

Creating the part in the sketcher workbench using proper constraints.

Later publish the important geometry like points and axis which will be required in the assembly window using tools and then publish , do such process for all the parts of QUICK RETURN MECHANISM.

2) MAIN GUIDE:

3)CENTER GUIDE:

4)PIN

5)MOTOR

OPEN THE PRODUCT WORKBENCH AND COPY OR CALL ALL THE PARTS OF THE RESPECTIVE ASSEMBLY USE PROPER COINCIDENCE CONSTRAINTS FOR ALLIGNING THE COMPONENTS AND USE OFFSETS OR CONTACT FOR ASSEMBLY.

1)FIX THE ONE COMOPONENT WITH THE SKELETON DRAWING AND LATER COINCIDE IT WITH THE AXIS.

2)COINCIDENCE THE SLOT AND OFFSET IT WITH PIN AND MOTOR.

3)SIMILARLY COINCIDE AND OFFSET REST.

EXPLODING AND THEN AGAIN UPDATING FOR ENSURING THE PROPER ASSEMBLY CONSTAINTS.
