Week 10:- 2D Detailing Challenge

OBJECTIVE:

Draft a key sheet for the complete fixture assembly and draft a base unit and fixed pin unit drawings with all child parts for the complete fixture assembly.

KEYSHEET:

Keysheet an index of units &their placement on the tool base.Keysheet shows placement and location of that particular unit on tool base where exactly & exact position of tool base.

Keysheet is showing orthogonal or isometric view of that entire unit.

In fixture assembly there are three kinds of parts majorly manufactured,brought out parts &hardwares.

Manufactured parts are those which taken from supplier or vendors.Here we are detailing each and every child parts of unitwhich is manufactured.some manufactured parts are repeatedly used in multiple units.This reduces designing and drafting time drastically.

Brought parts are those which are purchased from catalogue.These are standard parts universally accepted & manufacture in bulk & stored.It has required less lead time.Also use of std. parts/brought out parts also reduces drafting time as there no need to detail.

Hardwares are standard parts & same STD followed every where.so no detailing required.

CONCLUSION:

Thus as per the objective drafting a key sheet for complete fixture assembly and drafting for base unit and pin unit with all child parts is done using CATIA V5 software.
