Week 1-Model Creation in DesignModeler Challenge
Abstract: Butterfly Valve is used to regulate and control, Throttle the flow. They are featured by fast operation and low pressure drop.
Objective: To model a Butterfly Valve using Ansys Design Moduler software.
Procedure: A Butterfly Valve generally consist of three main units a main central units, a top head and a bottom base.

The main unit consist of a circular plate with three slots for bolt assembly. first a circular sketch is drawn on the selected plane and there after three small circle of required diametr is drawn. Trim command is used to get the reqquired geometry. lastly Extrude command is used to generate the desire shape of the central main unit.

An extension arm of given geometry is also attached to the main unit.
Here also some command like trim, extrude cut and creation of new plane has been brought undre use.

The top head and the bottom base are also modelled using some new plane and command like extrude with certain thickness, tools like projection and constrains like concentricity, symmetry, midpoint etc.

- conclusion:
- the modelling of Butterfly valve required four parts.
- the major tools used in the modelling are extrude, trim, extrude cut, plane generation, projection, concentricity, summetry etc.
- The model is ready for executing Analysis result.
