various connection techniques for rear door model using ANSA software
*aim:-
to perform connections using various connection techniques for a reardoor FE model using ANSA.
*methodology:-
1)convert to various pid
2) connectors
1)convert to various pid:-
-first of all we imported reardoor FE model in ANSA.
-for taht we choose this dirrection:-
file>inputs>NASTRAN

-here only one pid are available, but for simplicity we devided number of pid.
-the number of pid are available under.

2) connectors:-
A connector is a geometric constraint that defines how a part is connected with another part in an assembly model.
-it is in FE modelling includes welds, bolts, adhesives, rigids etc.
-the different connections are defined to the elements accordingly follows.
*bolts:-
-for holes where there bolt is to be used, give a COG point to the holes in parts that need to be connected.after that convert COG point to a bolt.use connections manager and connect the parts by selecting the bolt feature.

-use RBE2 command for create cluster element for bolt holes where there are no different properties defined to parts.(NASTRAN MODULE>ELEMENTS>RBE2>MANY NODES)
-create zonecut command for bolt holes which is not connected another parts.create RBE2 connection along with the washer elements around the hole.

-here note that always use six degree of freedom for all parts, because all connection are not movement compare to another parts.
-but for hinge part we provide five degree of freedom, because it rotate around z axis, then its removed.

-handle connection is made using RBE2 command with use of conmi command.(CONMI>CONM2>NODES AT COG)
-note:- mass in ansa is represented as us tonnes.

*connection for windows:-
-create a curve around the perimeter of windows.
-transform them in to spot line.
select this line after open connection manager.for representation this part use RBE3-CBUSH-RBE3 .
-assign parts for connection of cbush elements.

*conclusion:-
-rigid body elements are connected.
-spot welding component connections are made.
-cbush element are represented.
-mass of handle is represented.
-degree of freedom assigned for hinges.
