Usage of Collaborate tool in REVIT
1)
Aim :-
Open an architectural template. Using the Manage tab set project base point and project shared coordinates for the project by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* Open a revit software and create new architectural template then click ok.
* After open an architectural template we can draw the grids( one horizontal and another one is vertical).
* Next click on manage tab then drop down the co-ordinates select specify project co-ordinates at points.
* After select specify project co-ordinates at points then click on co-ordinate dialog box will be display the co-ordinates changes to zero.
* We can type VG(visibility graphics).
* Visibility graphics dialog box will be display.
* In these dialog box in model categories site option are there.
* Expand site option select project base point click on apply then click on ok.
* The project base option appear on the screen.
* The project base point drag and placed on junction co-ordinates.
* Change the all the values are zero then automatically place (0,0) point.
* Finally save the project as architectural.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e.,Open an architectural template. Using the Manage tab set project base point and project shared coordinates for the project by using revit software.
2)
Aim :-
Open another new file but with a structural template. Using the manage tab set project parameters the same as the architectural model. Copy the parameters from the architectural model to the structural template or enter the parameters manually into the structural model by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* Open a revit software and create new structural template then click ok.
* After open an structural template we can draw the grids( one horizontal and another one is vertical).
* Next click on manage tab then drop down the co-ordinates select specify project co-ordinates at points.
* After select specify project co-ordinates at points then click on co-ordinate dialog box will be display the co-ordinates changes to zero.
* We can type VG(visibility graphics).

* Finally save the project as structural.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e.,Open another new file but with a structural template. Using the manage tab set project parameters the same as the architectural model. Copy the parameters from the architectural model to the structural template or enter the parameters manually into the structural model by using revit software.
3)
Aim :-
Re-open the architectural model. Using the tools under the Collaborate tab make the architectural model a central model (enabling simultaneous working on the model) by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* We can re-open the before project(i.e., Architectural project).
* Click on the collaborate tab,in the collaborate tab select collaborate option.
* Collaborate dialog box will be displayed.
* In these dialog box we select within your network then click on ok.
* Then again save the project.
* One dialog box will be display click on YES.
* Now the file as central model file.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e., Re-open the architectural model. Using the tools under the Collaborate tab make the architectural model a central model (enabling simultaneous working on the model) by using revit software.
4)
Aim :-
Create the Grids Longitudinal and Transverse pattern for the project similar to the task done in Week 2 by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* We can re-open the above architectural model.
* I have create one longitudinal and one transverse grid.
* Click on grid under the architectural tab.
* The click on pick line option the offset value given as 2000.
* Then create longitudinal and transverse grids.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e., Create the Grids Longitudinal and Transverse pattern for the project similar to the task done in Week 2 by using revit software.
5)
Aim :-
Synchronize the changes from the local copy to the central file of the architectural model by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* We can open the before project.
* Goto collaborate tab, drop down the synchronize with central option then select synchronize and modify settings.
* Synchronize with central dialog box will be displayed.
* In these dialog box select compact central model then click on ok.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e.,Synchronize the changes from the local copy to the central file of the architectural model by using revit software.
6)
Aim :-
Open the structural model and use the collaborate tools to save the model as a central file by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* We can re-open the structural file.
* These file we can save as central file.
* Click on the collaborate tab,in the collaborate tab select collaborate option.
* Collaborate dialog box will be displayed.
* In these dialog box we select within your network then click on ok.
* Then again save the project.
* One dialog box will be display click on YES.
* Now the file as central model file.

Result :-
Successfully complete the challege i.e.,Open the structural model and use the collaborate tools to save the model as a central file by using revit software.
7)
Aim :-
Under the Collaborate tab, select the grids and levels from the architectural model, and using Copy Monitor try to copy the grids to the structural model. See what happens when the copy monitored grid is moved around in the structural model by using revit software.
Procedure :-
* Open the structural file.
* Goto insert tab, click on link revit option.
* Insert an Architectural file.
* The file is linked but not copied.
* It is checked by type VG(visibility graphics) dialog box select revit links unselect the architectural then click on apply select ok.
* The architectural model was hiden.
* It is checked by type VG(visibility graphics) dialog box select revit links select the architectural then click on apply select ok.
* The architectural model was displayed.
* Next goto collaborate tab, drop down the copy/monitor option click select link.
* Then select the architectural link click copy option choose multiple select drag the all the architetural grids.
* Click finish option again goto copy/monitor option finally click finish.

10) Flow chart of a project tree set up in terms of Construction model - Architecture & Structure model :-

People can work on the same project using Revit simultaneously :-
Many peoples work on the same project using revit like mechanical people, structural people, plumbing people, architectural people, structural people ect.It depend on type of project.
