Underbody Coating

In Indian road condition a car is very much prone to rust or corrosion.

Underbody coating provides a long term protection to cars from rust and corrosion.

it also protect part like internal body pannels,frame rails and other inner cavities that are not easily accessible.

Underbody coating are those which is used to prevent car bodies against rust & corrosion. This underbody coating helps in protection from dust & moisture

Different types of underbody coating:-

Rubberized underbody coating: These coating are easy to apply and offer sound cushioning as well as protection from dust, moisture, & dents. it is a safe even to use on wheel wells and quarter pannels.

Polyurethane underbody coating: It is a little bit quicker & easy to apply. it comes in canister ready to preload into application gun. it is always required surface preparation before applying.

Asphalt-based underbody coating: Mostly it is used for heavy vehicle like bus, truck, Vans for sufficient protection against rock chips & moisture. it also helps in reduction of noise. it is like little bit of Rubberized underbody coating.

Purpose of Underbody coating

1. Minimize sounds: It minimize the sounds from underneath the car.

2. Heat insulation: it insulate the interior of the car from the extreme tempreture.

3. Anti-chipping property: The coating does not chip away when hit by stones.

Pros and Cons of under Body Coating:

Pros:

Cons:

Underbody coating is very expensive.
