Underbody Coating
1. Under-body coating is a process of adding layer uniformly underneath the vehicle. Generally down
part of the any vehicle will be exposed to mud,water and dust. Manufacturer made the undercarriage with
metals these metals when exposed to water or any moisture contained substances then it will start
corrosion for this to restrict corrosive and rust underbody coating is important.
Underbody coating is increases then the life of vehicle will expand. This coating is done on the body
components like frame, exaust and suspension which were present under the vehicle. coating is needed for any
vehicle to get long sustainability.
The main purpose of this underbody coating is to protect long term from the corrosion of car
under body.
There are some types of underbody coatings they are : 1. Rubberized underbody coating
2. Wax based underbody coating
3. Asphalt based automotive undercoating
4.Polyurethane under body coating

This is the coating that prevents our vehicle from scratches. this coating is good
for the rough terrain vehicles like people who likes trecking and campaining.
2. Waxbased underbody coating
Wax based coating has lesser life after some years it get vanished but it is best
coating that will fight with the moisture. The coating is also offerdable to anyone.
3. Asphalt based automotive under coating
Asphalt based automotive coating is applied on larger vehicles like lorries,trucks
and busses. This coating is better then the rubber under coating. In this coating small amount of rubber is
used due to sound insulation purpose. This coating is time taking coating.
4. polyurethane underbody coating
In this coating it closes splits and fractures in under body of the vehicle. this
coating rust preventive and it can be coated on any other coatings unlike asphalt under body coating.
Main advantages of the coating are 1.It will fight against rust. that it will increase the life of the vehicle.
2. Absorbs noise from the under parts.
3. Reinforcement that addes more strength to the under vehicle parts.
Disadvantage is it is a money valued process.
