UNDERBODY COATING

Underbody coating is usually a dense coating applied uniformly to the under carriage of automobiles. It protects the car underbody from corrosion .It also protects parts like internal body pannels,frame rails, and other inner cavities that are not physically accessible but are prone to corrosion.

Car need additional care especially during monsoon seasons, A car underbody is exposed to muddy terrain, potholes, debries and even wet and flooded conditions that lead to corrosion, scince the underbody is hard to inspect ourselves it is important to have an underbody coating in order to ensure your car is protected during these times.

2. Wax Based Underbody Coating : Wax based undercoating is resistant to dampness. It is the most cost effective alternative but fade away after few months.
3. Asphalt Based Underbody Coating : Suitable for trucks and other heavy vehicles, this gives a higher level of protection it incorporates some amount of rubber for sound insulation. The application of this coating is a time consuming process.
4. Polyurethane Underbody Coating : This covering seals breaks and fractures in vehicle underbody. It provides strong corrosin resistance and also binds to the metal.

Methods of Application

1. Spray It is the most common method used by the dealers. The spray cosist of tar like substance that is applied to the under carriage. It function as a barrier for salt,moisture and oxygen
2. Drip Oil Spray :This method can cover every nook and corners of chassis. forming a robust layer of protection. It take long time to get dried
3. Dripless Oil Spray : A waxy substance is applied to the body under carriage forming a strong protective layer. It does'nt take much time to get dried however the layer can easily wear and tear.
