For the given Intake Manifold component, check for the geometrical errors and mesh the Surfaces with the given 2D element Quality criterias given below.

Use tetra elements to mesh the Volumes defined in the model and check for the below quality after Volume meshing.

Sol:

Opening the given model

Quality Check,

- Assigning the material

- assigning the quality criteria

-Meshing parameter

- then the proper meshing is done using Best and spot mesh

- then proceeding to volume mesh

- then the final component after tetra rapid (cut section is shown)

Given Time : 5hrs.

Time taken by Me:- 6.5hrs.

Conclusion:

Model is imported to the ANSA software and the geometrical errors are fixed then component surface is meshed with the combination of ortho tria and normal tria elements. Volume of component is defined and meshed using tetra Rapid elements and quality is achieved as well as kinks and dips are controlled and eliminated.
