Tool Test-2
Objective :
To mesh the given model with tetra elements and check for the tetra collapse.
- Import the model to the ansa software.
- Check for the geomentrical errors.
- Clean the geomentry according to the criteria.
- Mesh the geomementry with teh 2d tetra elements.
- Define the geomentry as closed volume and mesh the model with tetra.
- Check for the tetra collapse.
Procedure :
Step 1 : Import the model to the ansa software and clear the geomentric errors by topo option and length option in mesh tool.
Step 2 : Now check for the geomentric errors by using the geomentric errors and clear them automatically.
Step 3 : After that add the given criteria values for the geomentry and clean the entire geomentry. Here we are defeaturing some features because these are the areas elements will fail when meshing is done so we have to reomve those areas with the help of the cut option and also measure the each and every feature before cleaning.
Step 4 : After cleaning the geomentry we need to mesh the geomentry with tria elements. Here meshing is done with the help of spot mesh option by ortho tria nd tria elements. By meshing we switches to ortho and tria because based on the geomentry ansa will give perfect mesh.
Step 5 : After meshing the geomentry we need to check for off elements by switching shadow mode and remove them with the help of reconstruction and Mv surf or Mv free options. Here we need to clear some raised elements and also kink elements.
Step 6 : Now we have to go for the volume tetra mesh to do that first we need to define geomentry as closed mesh, so go to the volume mesh > define > manual and select the geomentry here it asks to add a new pid for the volume we will create the pid by psolid option.
Step 7 : Now we can mesh the volume by the tetra fem mesh after sometime ansa will mesh entire volume.
Step 8 : Now add the tetra collapse value in criteria and check for off elements and clear the them.
Step 9 : Now volume mesh is completed to the geomentry and save the file.
Result :
Thus the meshing is completed for given geomentry with the tetra mesh and checked tetra collapse.
