Aim: Creating a midsurface and generating mesh on the given component .

Procedure:

• Importing the model in to ansa
• check the gemometry and fix the errors
• Now Extract the midsurface by using offset
• For ribs we use middle option for extracting midsurface
• Now we extand the midsurface into the base surface my using extand option in "face - extand-'select the CONS'- middle click-'select the base surface '- and extend".

Mesh Generation:

• Go to classic mesh
• Give the mesh perameter "Target length is -4% minimum element length is-2"-ok.
• Now give Quality criteria according to the given data.
• Now to Batch mesh and giving the mesh to the surface

Quality check:

• Go to shaded region and we find the elements that are deviated from quality.
• We can clear that errors by using 'Improve & Reconstruct' in the shell element.

Conclusion:

Is this exercice we can learn the midsurface extractin by manual and automatic and gemotry cleanup generating mesh
